Water Activity Weekend Camp
The Scouts took part in a number of water activities at the Trent Lock Scout Activity Centre. To get to the centre, Scouts must cross the river on a small boat, there is no escape once they are there! Tents were pitched on Friday night just before the rain started for the night. On Saturday, they were very lucky with the weather and were able to go kayaking in the morning and then canoeing in the afternoon. Saturday night was cold with one Scout’s wet suit shoes freezing solid, as well as there being ice on the tents. Despite the cold night, the sun was out on Sunday, so the Scouts built two rafts and went rafting. Many on the Scouts even jumped into the river afterwards (voluntarily).
