Suspension of face to face scouting activities

We are now into our second week of none face to face scouting activities, our first week of restrictive movements, following Government guidelines announced yesterday, with schools closed and us grown ups working from.

We aim to continue to deliver scouting to our members through “work at home badges”, your section leaders have been (or will be) sending out activities that Beavers, Cubs and Scouts can do at home.  If you haven’t heard or received anything yet, then please be patient, and remember many of our leaders also have children at home and are having to juggle work and family life.

We aim to keep you up to date with camps and outside activities as we go from month to month, either by email or newsletter.

Peak 2020

Peak has been cancelled and we will be refunding the final balance payments, which we have been holding in our account over the next week.  The initial non-refundable deposit of £65 will be part refunded.  We are waiting for Peak to confirm amounts, but it is looking like around £35 per person.  You can find out more information here.

Suspension of subs

We are trying hard to help out as much as we can with finances over the coming months, as we are aware that many of our families will be undergoing difficulties in these uncertain times.  Therefore we have made the decision to suspend subs from April 2020, until further notice.

We do not anticipate that we are able to meet for at least the next few months.  We will be monitoring the situation and taking guidlines from HQ, and will advise you when we expect you to pay again.  In the mean time, please cancel your standing order.
